Welcome to my kitchen. The view is great and my fridge and cupboards are full. I am hoping to share with you some of my curiosity for all things food, to explore ideas, thoughts and recipes.
I grew up in the kitchen and garden, with my mother and Nana, and these are still my happiest places. As an adult too, I have been lucky to be surrounded by lovers of life and food who support and encourage my kitchen aspirations The kitchen is my place to be creative, to nurture and to make a home that my family and friends want to come back to and remember.
The world is full of advice and confusing contradictions regarding food, a great quote I like to try to live by is Michael Pollans :
“Eat food, not too much, mainly plants”
I am not in any way qualified to give any advice. I hope that what I say will only be taken as the thoughts of one person reading, thinking and trying to interpret what I see.
I love to cook, read and share and to follow what others are doing, both in the past and present, cooking seasonally with what is fresh in my world and garden, borrowing ideas from people, foods and cultures around the world.
